Vault Tec Rep is bugged for me

I recruited him to my settlement, and then when he was back in sanctuary i did the 'Do you want a job' dialogue and sent him to sanctuary and have assigned him to a general trader.

The problem is every time i talk to him (or at least once per day) there is looped dialogue. I keep asking if he wants a job, even though he already has one, and he usually says one of his default lines. Not only that, although i can buy from his store, his money never resets. is this normal?

My weapons vendor (random settler) also has the same issue, always 0 money, despite his stock recycling every day as normal.

There's a couple of things here, do you have both stars in the leader perk? That will allow you to set up trade lines to your other settlements and each will share/trade a bit from that. The second thing is how many "free" settlers do you have AKA not assigned to a task in the settlement you're having trouble with? A low number of "free" settlers will result in hardly any internal trading.

The settlers that are not assigned to tasks will roam around and buy from the vendor stalls on occasion and that's the other main way. Happiness also does play a role in just how profitable a settlement will be, low happiness will result in a very "poor" settlement while high happiness will result in more trade happening.

Does Tina De Luca and Vault Tec Rep have the same money or something? I have them both as general traders. This time i traded with vault tec rep first and he had money, and went to Tina and she had none.

various stores thru your settlement system share inventory yes.

all general stores would have the same inventory including caps.

This is a known bug. Been in the game since day 1.

It should be safe to install the mod ... it's the removal of mods that cause problems.

Be sure to make a "hard save" before you install it ... then you can revert to that save if it goes wrong.

old post, but this could help. if you bash him or punch him in the face while he's speaking, he'll skip his dialogue and let you trade.

You can just spam the skip dialog button, dude, no need to add injury to insult for the poor guy.

This is a non-issue if you just remember he's been reliving his glory days of upselling Vault slots up in his hotel room for decades and he really, really wants to tell you about it.
