Walking Like Overweight, But Still Can Sprint—WTF is Going On?

Has anybody heard of this? My character walks like she's carrying too much, but she's not, and has no problem sprinting. It's a pain in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ "ash." I've noticed that W+C works exactly the same as W+(L)SHIFT, and C, as the options menu says, is supposed to allow running. Ummm, is there not any difference between running and sprinting?

Is there any kind of fix for this, or is my game officially broken?

Jesus feckin' Crikes! I can't BELIEVE how far up my bung my head was! Thanks, guys! I'd always caught that before, but this time it just plain escaped me completely.
