Why is X01 in 76?
If its 20 or so years after the Great War the Enclave are still on the Oil Rig, Fallout 4 loading screen said something about it being made by the government after the Great War. I guess some Enclave troops went to the Commonwealth and crashed a few Vertibirds and left the old X01 behind. But then 76 has people wearing it.

If must know, Enclave Advanced power armor is based on pre-war prototype X-01 power armor. X-01 is not Enclave, but pre war armor prototype, you fool.

The X-01 series of Power Armor was specially engineered and employed by remnants of the U.S. military after the Great War
A variant of the X-01 power armor was still in testing phases with the scientists at Nuka-World in 2077 as a part of a cooperative initiative between the U.S. military and Nuka-Cola Corporation when the bombs fell

I think it was stated somewhere that there were scattered enclave forces all across the U.S. following the war. My guess is that this was their armor.

Maybe if you actually read the lore about the armor then you would know that it was used LITTLE before the Great War usally with the Secret Service and would NOT be found in large amounts as we see in Fallout 4 and likley 76. Especially in West Virgina in a area that seems to have a few towns and not much things that would require a X01 Power Armor suits. you fool.

X-01 is not Enclave armor. The "X" stands for experimental, and X-01 was experimental armor that had not yet been approved for rollout in the field at the time the bombs fell. The Enclave are a remnant of a secret insider shadow government. As such they would have had access to the X-01 designs, so when they finally managed to pull a working power armor facility out of their ass they just copied that design. It's not like a bunch of fricking bureaucrats and politicians invented it or something. Sheesh.

Yes once again basic lore that a majority of people know.
