Skylanes Flight 1665: Trapdoor Glitched? EDIT: Yes—Answered / Solved!
I'm exploring the southwestern portion of the map, pushing boundries until I hit invisible "You can't go here!" walls, when I found a passenger jet wreck. I knew such locations always have a flight recorder and hidden loot, so I conducted a most exacting examination of the largest semi-intact section.

I found and looted the storage compartment where the steamer trunk is located not far away, and the trapdoor by the stairs leading to the cockpit where the Last Transmission can be picked up…but, there's a problem with the trapdoor. Its vicinity is so crowded with crap and non-moveable garbage that I cannot enter or loot the space. It accepts my Open and Close commands, but the only thing that happens is the trapdoor's handle moves—the door itself, for all prectical intents and purposes, seems to be adamantly welded shut.

Any way past this obstacle?

The trapdoor is indeed bugged. However, after making a more minute examination of the wreckage, I found a passable breach in the fuselage. So, the trapdoor is superfluous.

Note: In Aviation jargon, "stairs" are referred to as ladders, "floors" are decks, and any door-like device—including "trapdoors"—are referred to as hatches. "Cielings" are overheads, "walls" are bulkheads, "washrooms" are heads, and "rooms" are compartments. The same with Naval jargon, except windows are not portholes; they are still windows.
