Getting bored with a character after 24+ hours

Hello my fellow random people on the internet. I have a problem and i'm looking for some advise helping me to enjoy this game for longer.

Everytime I'm having a problem with getting bored of my character after 24-30 hours of playtime and start a new one with a different build and roleplay style. It sucks for me 'cause most of the time I'll end playing between level 30-50 I just think the game slows down alot then.
(sidenote: I play with a few mods mosly texture mods and I'm always playng on survival)

Any advise to help me?

Bookshelf xp glitch? First I've ever heard of it. How does it occur?

It boils down to just spam steel bookshelves in a settlement and scraping them after you run out of steel and repeat.

Yeha especially when you might as well jsut console command yourself xp instead.

Survival doesn't make sense in this game because it is a game about exploration which Survival mode doesn't encourage. There are some exceptions, but most people don't want to play a walking simulator, especially in an age where everyone drives.

How does being forced to eat and drink make no sense?

How does NEVER sleeping in non-survival make sense?

Hmmm I am level 72 have only done far Harbor and some side things, the main quest is at Dr Amari and have not even gone there yet. I have tons of mods, including most of sim settlement as well as every mod that makes things harder (next play through will be survival) I rp fallout this time around as the general and build at least 50% of the settlements myself the rest I let sim settlement take care of. Some evenings I do "wander lust" and pick destinations to walk to getting into some huge fights along the way and tons of exp as well. I just finished the mechanist so will be taking time to make-up that the center of the commonwealth. Fallout rules!

my only advice is to find something to dedicate your time in

Try using mods. Makes the game more interesting. I am in for over 1800 hours and have replayed the entire game several times making different decisions. I played survival mode for awhile as well. Still finding things I didn't see before. The DLCs add lots of new things also.

Mods are the way to go for most of us. There are a ton of mods on the Nexus and it is certainly worth the time to check out that site. I do get bored and when i do I just turn to another game for a bit but i always come back to Fallout or Skyrim because of mods. I am around 1500 hours played so I certainly have gotten my monies worth.

Since you can place more than one bookshelf in the exact same place, if you just go into the workshop and hold the place button with bookshelves in the exact same spot they will just spam and you get a really big amount of xp.
