Black screen when I sleep or wait...
I have a black screen problem every time I sleep or wait on a chair. On the other hand I have the sound and the HUD. It's a little annoying when you want to do RP. I have 400 hours of play, no new mod recently, I do not understand where this can come from. I recently re-download the game, always the same problem. I tried without mod, the same. With F4se and without f4se... I don't know how to get out of it. If you have an idea?

If I may ask, do you mean WHILE you Wait/Sleep or AFTER you Wait/Sleep?

If you mean WHILE you Wait/Sleep, that is normal (the screen being black, with only the HUD).

I have not experienced the screen being black AFTER you Wait/Sleep so I am sorry I cannot help there.
Perhaps another helpful person around here (there's lots!) can.... GL

Thank you for your answer. This happens just after sleeping or waiting (when I wake up so). The image is completely black but I have the HUD and the sound... When I sleep or wait, a backup is done, but I can't use it. I'm in survival mode, fortunately I have the "survival option" mod that allows me to back up when I want with a keyboard shortcut! But I would really like to solve this problem... I can no longer sleep is not cool

Sorry if it's not clear, I use Google translation.

Try reinstalling again, but this time, when you uninstall, delete the mods, folders, steam fallout folder etc. Just incase there's a setup file kicking about that remains between installs.

I cleaned up all the Fallout 4 files and mods on my computer before reinstalling it. I really wanted to go on something clean. I don't think I've forgotten something. The only thing I have set aside are my backups of course. Thank you for your opinion

It sounds like a corrupt file, you should get a green backdrop, with the time counting down and then that screen exits to the main game view for whereever you are. Sounds like you're not transferring back to the correct aspect. Could be a video driver issue, or maybe some windows driver that maybe has been updated lately, could try reinstalling all the drivers, esp for dlls and graphics, sound etc. Can't remember the name of the specific windows files to reinstall, used to have a list, I just reinstall windows if I have issues I can't fix directly with games, that usually sorts it. It might not be the game that is the problem.

Watched the video, yeh it isn't tranferring back to the game viewpoint. I can't think of what the technical term is, no sleep for awhile. But it might not be the game that's causing it.

I know the thread hasn't had a comment in years. But I just had this issue and found the solution.

One of your mods is setting the timescale too low. It just happened to me when GCM / Game Configuration Menu accidentally got set to 0 time scale, loading a prior save and setting the timescale back to 20 (default) fixed it. I believe it may have been caused by using the Photo mode mod.

You can see the current timescale by using the console and entering:

timescale show

and to correct it

set timescale 20

Sometimes certain mods that alter sleeping or waiting can glitch and not fade back in afterwards. I actually had to remove one that had something to do with allowing us to see our character sleep over this kind of issue a while back I am sure they updated the mod at least once since then but I never felt inclined to try it again.
