[Companions] Strong is so difficult to raise Affinity with! lol (Ideas?)
SOME QUOTE SPOILERS FOR STRONG WITHIN
...

..

.

Just wondering if there is a good place/location/quest that I could take Strong and...'do some Smashing' or something with Strong that he likes so that 'Strong like nice blue lady more'..?

I keep losing Affinity with Strong by Lockpicking everything lol "STOP FIDDLING, SMASH!". Or constantly stopping to break down Weapons or Armor, Scrapping them, or adding Mods before I sell them for more money "Tinker, Tinker, Tinker, STRONG BORED!" haha oh man

Just travel with him while fighting is what he likes.

the only one of those two things he actually dislikes is lockpicking

anyway, spam minutemen quests. he likes them for some reason.

Thanks you two, for your input!

I also found a line someone else said:
"Smash things and eat their Corpses" lol
(Just mentioning to help others that may wonder about Mr. Strong)

He likes violence, beating mean to people and doing quests to help settlers. He's also a fan of building settlements. Usually I send him to whatever settlement I'm planning on building and when I'm done building it, I'll send him off to the next settlement I plan on building. Several companions can be leveled up using this method.

That's a nice idea (a bit like 'using' them :P but that's fine) - do you make them your Companion? Or does it 'register' just having them in the Settlement?

It registers with them just being in the same settlement as you.

Actually it's not a bad idea to keep all the companions together in the same spot that you don't have max affinity on. When your doing Preston's quests and you keep turning them in and getting new quests this will impress your other companions and eventually you'll get romance dialogue options.

I explored the Glowing Sea with him. Few people, high level enemies. It seems he likes explosions too? I was equiped with an explosive rounds shotgun and he was always saying "Ah ah funny!".
Avoid lockpicking, or leave him away when you doing it, he dislike it.
The cons of the Glowing Sea is that enemies dont respawn so fast... I think I have explored the Sea... 10 times? I know every rock of it now :p

Ah, that's a great idea - if I ever mention it to others, I'll say you gave me that Suggestion :)

"...impressing your other Companions...", a good summary of your approach - thanks!

Strong is actually probably one of the easiest companions to max out. Lockpicking barely loses affinity. As long as you're doing stuff he likes just lockpick everything and ignore his complaints.

These seems to be a repeating Concept with Strong - thanks, I'm going for it then! lol

Just try not to do so in a worldspace like Diamond City or else they have a chance to turn on you; stick to interiors or other peoples houses if you choose to like those snoody rich folks in the upper stands.

Just kill everything. He's the easiest to raise. Patience is a virtue.
