His patrol will only get him there. But, he will engage anything that attacks him. So, at Olivia, for instance, the one last guy that hides in the bunker entrance? He will still be there and the sentry bot will have already returned to the junkyard. This is the one case that it's better if you are not in the cell that he is in, just to give him help in surviving and NOT sparking/triggering additional enemies that could kill him!
All of this, of course is possible, IF, he doesn't bug out, or get stuck in a non-navmeshed area or just tp's to the room for missing npc's.
If you aren't in survival, you could open console, click on it to get its RefID, travel to where ever you want it to be, then bring up console again and type:
moveto player
I had to do this for all the level 4 merchants to get them to not just disappear on me.
(I killed that bot because I didn't know you could keep him :( )
If he is already disabled, look up the RefID on the wiki and RefID.enable, then use RefID.moveto player instead.
The bumbling sentry bot that vanished the last time I attempted to follow him to Fort Hagan did indeed survive. However, instead of killing the raiders and evil bots occupying the installation, it seems he had become friendly to them, so I had to kill him.
Bad programmers, I guess—every maladjusted robotic intelligence has one.
You would not think that you'd get a second piece of legendary gear after the first (power armor) at low level without some kind of kink or defect, did you?
1. "Look at a few YouTube videos about it." Really. Why on Earth—and how—might I do that? More to the point, WHY? You seem to be making assumptions that I actually do not understand. In being "coy" or "clever," you succeed admirably in cloaking your genuine intent. Congratulations! Color me Puzzled.
2. I have literally NO fecking idea what you're going on about with legendary gear and power armor, especially with your intimation I'm expecting something that I'm not entitled to, like some privileged little snot who thinks he gets EVERYTHING just because he bought the game.
Rather than indulge in weak and ineffective passive-aggressive tactics that actually disguise what the bloody Hell you really mean, why don't you just come out and SAY what's on your mind? I rather strongly suspect you to be a troll setting out bait to incite an inflammatory response.
That won't happen. Not on my watch. I'm not trying to impress anyone, nor am I trying to self-aggrandize. I don't have anything to "prove." If you can't answer the questions plainly, I'm not going to "feed the troll;" I'll put you on my "No-Fly List," adding you to a number of proven trolls that I will ignore in the future.
Of course, this could be a tragic misunderstanding…but, I rather doubt it, seeing as how I am professionally literate, despite my autism.
