I can't get to Greentech game crashes to desktop (ctd) when I get about 70% couser signle.Thats why I need the courser's target number so I can try the Moveto consel command.

I really doubt that would work. I would suggest trying to figure out what is wrong with your game rather than short cutting things with a console command.

I know my mods are causing the ctd, but I dont know how to clean them. I'm older and retired or retarded what the case. I looked at guides and vidios but for some reason I cant seem to get FO4Edit to open. So I was hoping that someone out there would know the target code so I could "try" the moveto command. And untll I can find someone that knows how to clean mods and show me on my computer I'm stuck. So if someone is out there that lives in the Twin Cities area and is willing to healp out an old fart pleas let me know thanks.

I live about 70 miles west of you, and I'm willing to help out, I work in the Cities. A visit shouldn't be necessary though. I think we can get it done from here.

So, a couple of things. First, cleaning mods themselves is usually a bad idea. Cleaning the masters can be a good one. There are many good arguments on both sides, but I cleaned mine.

However, lets start at the start though.
Do you have LOOT installed?
If not, it can be found here:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1918

Which mod manager are you using?
Chef Aug 20, 2018 @ 1:55pm
Let me know which mod manager you are using before you install LOOT.
Rguy1 Aug 20, 2018 @ 2:36pm
I have LOOT already installed and have run it in order to get my mods in order,I have had to move a few to get them to work semi right. All my mods come from the mod list in the start menu, most are Clean & smoth mods with a handfull of other mods. The only thing I have donloaded from Nexus is FO4Edit but I can't get it to open. If you decide to visit and help me I would gladly pay for your gas and time and thanks for your time in answering.
Chef Aug 20, 2018 @ 3:28pm
If it gets to that, you don't owe me anything.

LOOT is great for sorting mods. I ignore everything it tells me regarding cleaning though.

Take the archive you downloaded from Nexus, it should be called FO4Edit 3.2.1-2737-3-2-1 and right click on it. Go to Properties at the bottom. At the bottom right corner, there may be a box labeled "Unblock", if its there, check that box. EDIT: Then click Apply and then OK.

Now go to your Fallout 4 folder in Steam, it should be Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout 4
also you should see a folder there named Data (among others). Now in the Fallout 4 directory create a folder called FO4Edit

Go back to that archive and open it up. Then copy everything in there into the folder you made called FO4Edit. Once that is done you should be able to click on the file called FO4Edit.exe That should open up the program.

This is basically copied from what I wrote for someone else with the exact same problem a few months ago and should help you:

People with no mods are having the same problem. Many, many posts about this glitch. Just google "hunter hunted problem" and you'll see you're not alone.
So probably not caused by mods but possibly made worse with them.

Some people have said just turning off the courser signal and finding the area without it will fix it, but dunno about that.

Heres a few work arounds that will help. Make sure you use plenty of saves.

1.) Open console (tilde key) and type: coc GreenetechGenetics01 (this will transport you there- write it down and type it exactly as written).

2.) clear building, kill target

3.) when you see the door to leave for Cambridge, open the console again and type: coc sanctuaryExt to leave. Going through the door will cause you to crash again.

or

1.) Open console and type: player.moveto 00064dfc (this will also transport you there)

2.) kill target

3.) when you see the door to leave for Cambridge, open the console again and type: coc sanctuaryExt to leave. (will transport you to sanctuary). Going through the door will cause you to crash again.

That sounds much safer than trying to move the courser to you. I would give this a shot.
Ez Duzit Aug 20, 2018 @ 3:43pm
Yeah, it's just another bug that should have been fixed by bethesda but wasn't. Let us know what happens.

Google is a great help with many of the games bugs. In the future you can just google the quest name that you're having a a problem with. For example you can google the term: Hunter hunted problem.

Hope this helped you a little bit.

Thanks for you help that got me in and out of greentech.

@ Chef I will still need to clean at least my master files. I still CTD at random spots.

Try reading through this. Avrie is active on the forums here and that guide is pretty good.

IF nothing else works and you can use the console try

COC GreenetechGenetics01

or

COC GreenetechGenetics02

This should put you inside of the building somewhere bypassing having to travel to the place.
