Ballistic weave on the green army suit, trilby hat, and sunglasses for better prices is all i use. I skip the armor completely. It adds weight and noise for not much benefit. Plus at lvl 70, you likely dont get hit so very much, so why bother with dorky looking armor ?

Unless of course you play a character who does get hit a bunch, then go wild, armor up.

Any weave-able clothes is better than you vault suit, but they dont trigger npc responses.

Many things depending on what you want.

In Vanilla (no mods) most items that can recieve ballistic weave are superior even to normal armor. And there are some that let you stack ballistic weave and armor.

If you mod it the sky is the limit. I personally use the Brotherhood Battlecoat with Ballistic Weave and Marine Recon Armor on top with a assaultron helmet. It looks awesome and is probably the best armor you can get without modding NEW armor in. Granted you need to mod it to allow armor over the battlecoat or any other thing but I digress. I am pushing into power armor levels of protection from normal armor at level 67

well yes, there is that. (nicely put)

Yet in the later stages of the game. I am not seeing any use for anything more.

you like the heart shaped glasses? or the black one? Both are ugly, dont you think?

Due to how Fallout 4 handles Damage Resistance more armor is always better although with diminishing returns. The Sweetspot is around 120 since most weapons dont go over that except enemies with .50 cals or rocket launchers. But again more is better.

Hell with my above Marine armor and Ballistic weave Battlecoat I still took about 20% of my health in dmage from a Radscorpion that spawned behind me and hit me once and I have nearly 300 ballistic armor.

Ballistic weave in the hat and army drabs sees 220 hit damage. Beyond that i am not seeing the more is better thing. Cept of course in the early game, when anything and everything is useful.

Aside from damage resistance, the other reason to have armour pieces as well would be for legendary armour effects, and armour mod effects (like the dense mod, to dramatically reduce explosive damage).

6 Powered Legendaries and you get 30 AP a second... its nice to completely recharge AP from 0 in 2-5 seconds.

All true, But the OP is at lvl 70, more than savvy enough to avoid and respond to those sneaky attacks. I mean by the time you get to lvl70 no one attacks you in a manner that you havent seen before. Zero need for extra clunky armor.

Where can i find this Ballistic weave? I loot almost everything but i did never find better armor then the Vault Suit. I upgraded everything and compared the stats. More then once. :S

Better looking sunglasses would be nice.

You have to do some Jackpot missions for the Railroad.
