Close to home quest bug
So I am doing the close to home quest from far harbour, and I have almost completed it. *spoilers ahead* I killed the children of the atom, because I thought that was the only way to do it, I then told Dima I would keep his secret. Now I need to talk to Kasumi, but every time I do she tells me to come back later when everything is over.

I tried looking up this issue, and seen numerous posts about it, but not many solutions, this one discussion https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/357287935558840189/?ctp=2 says that cause the children on the atom was killed it bugs out. So its that it? is it just bugged forever now, is there a fix for this?

Two options come to mind.
1. Use a console command to "setstage #" on that part of the quest.
Here is the page for console commands. Caution, use sparingly.

Here is a page with the stages for your reference.

OR

2. Roll back to an earlier save and maybe reach a peaceful solution for everyone.

Personally, I realized some of the folk in the Nucleus are pretty decent folk and not fanatics.
I got a good look around inside the nucleus, some of them seem perfectly healthy and immune to the effects of radiation. Of those a few are devout Children "hardliners". (The Grand Zealot comes to mind). Some are clearly affected by it (Including Tektus) and of of those, a few are there because they had no place else to go. For certain, a lot of them wouldn't like the idea of "division". They are devotees no less though.
Tektus may seem crazy, but following through with a peaceful solution, he will confess something to you one final time, before you talk to Kasumi to complete the "Way it should be" path of the questline.

If your charisma is high enough or you have some grape mentats on hand, it makes it easy.

Tektus realizes YOU are Atom's Chosen

I was thinking of going back to an earlier save and trying to do it peacefully. But I really dont want to need to do those annoying puzzles again.

They get easier to do once you've done them a few times. lol

PSA to anyone playing the quest in the far future:

Use the console command "setstage 02004f2c 170" to get the next step.

160 = kasumi is staying with the synths
170 = kasumi's coming home
180 = kasumi's dead. Maybe. Didn't try.
190 = i don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ know

You only need to do the first one to continue the quest. The next two add options for the quest. The last two just unlock some things that many people think are not worth the trouble.
