Modded weapons and armor invisible

I have 2 mods installed, Black Widow Armor and Pip-Boy [www.nexusmods.com] and The Widow Shotgun [www.nexusmods.com] . The shotgun i can't find it where it is supposed to be (laying on the ground in a basement) and when i spawn it with console commands it's invisible. The armor is different, because it is located in a chest so finding it isn't an issue. However, when i equip it my character becomes invisible, not even underwear can be seen. Does anyone know what's going on?

you are missing both model and textures files. I have checked both mods and they come with loose files. You have to adjust the Fallout4Custom.ini file in your My Documents folder to instruct the engine to read in the loose files.

So go to My documents -> My Games -> Fallout4 and open the Fallout4Custom.ini file with any editor (notepad is ok too) and ensure that these lines here below are present. If not, add these.

hmm. custom installed the mods? a mod manager usually enables the files like fallout4custom.ini for ya. for future reference, use vortex, which is the current nexus mod manager.

vortex is junk compared to nmm imho i tried using vortex it is waaaaaay worse in terms of how easy it is to use compared to nmm.

Every other mod seems to be working. I just can't find the modern firearms and armour, even Arturo doesn't have it, and they don't show up even at the crafting station
