Of course, I ran into no bugs doing it, but that's the virtue of playing vanilla and it sounds like you got some bugs on your end if the little skitter/indexers aren't returning to their home point.
Try checking your code blocks to make sure you've got clean paths, try to make them 2blocks wide if possible so Bethesda' Perfect Pathfinding(tm) doesn't freak out.
Yes - If I was not a little OCD - I would have died of bordom. Marine armor is good. :>)
Edit: Read - too slow upstairs!
Yeah, Number 5 is busy work, the only real "Trick" for Number 5 is during the last step where you're trying to get the beam to the decoder. it's hard to describe, but the last section where the beam is shooting UP from the floor, after you recover the relays available, you have to GO DOWN, and use a relay to shoot the beam from lower than the spot used to decode the previous firewall.
Then use another relay to direct it around the entry point, and finally, one more relay to hit the decoder.
Also, recover as many Code Blocks as you can, as you'll have to make lots of bridges.
The Marine Armor is ♥♥♥♥ btw, not even legendary, Discarded/NPC'd
I wish they had at least given the whole set you recover like Bolstering effect, which is cool but not OP IMO.
And than you get the lousy marine armor which is no better than anything with max ballistic weave, but it weighs a ton more. Yeah, it looked kind of cool but not worth it for the carry weight hit you have to take.
Some of the armour from Nuka World gangs offers slightly better protection, but the marine armour includes radiation resistance, so they're about even in that regard (but the gang armour can turn up as random legendary items, while the marine armour only has a few specific legendary pieces).
