Settlement caravans are driving me to drink.
I decided to go full on settlement building this playthrough with every settlement connected to my main home at Sanctuary via supply lines. Prior to this I mostly ignored settlements.

A major drawback has become apparent. Brahmin everywhere! Sanctuary is on the verge of a stampede every time I visit. Brahmin in the workshop area. Brahmin in the crops. Even brahmin on the roof. It's madness!

Hehe. Those brahmin's do enjoy spending time on the roof.

You only need 1 provisioner per settlement. Each settlement connected by others from one point is connected to all the rest of them. You don't need to send them all from Sanctuary.

You can cut the supply line by assigning visiting provisioner to do something else and then assign someone from other settlement as provisioner. If you only have 1 provisioner from each settlement to another, then you don't get the maddened by pesky cows.

Id suggest looking at some guides for provisioners, the better two out of it being Hubs and the Circuit.

I use the Circuit format myself, it means atmost a settlement has 2 provisioners tied to it.

Just like the Internet, each node (settlement) will alliow you to access all ther nodes (settlements) connected to it even indirectly

There's also a mod that replaces provisionner brahmins with eyebots I believe, their size is a bit more acceptable.

Good ideas all.

Now if I can just figure out how to bring the trader named Cricket back. She sort of got in the way when I came upon her fighting some raiders. Walked right in front of my fully upgraded automatic assault rifle as I was firing it. Poor thing didn't have time to move out of the way.:steamfacepalm:

The only way to do that is to reload a save prior to her death. The game runs a death script everytime a named NPC dies. Any instructions you find for trying to bring them back with the console with either bork your save or not function properly.

Thanks to the OP. I did have a laugh. I never considered linking all my settlements to one hub but that would be absolute mayhem.

Also one that adds backpacks. But it depends on several other mods to work.

Feeding troughs makes resting brahmin stand where you place it instead of roaming around. That's pretty much why it's there.

That is true, but only applies to settlement brahmins. Trader and provisioner brahmins do not use them.

Sadly.

But, they DO use the Caravan tents, that can be unlocked by doing a quest.

At least brahmins for supported traders use the tent. True.

I don't think provisioner brahmins do, but I am actually not 100% sure now.

No, you're correct. The provisioner's Brahmin don't use anything, since the provisioner is always moving. They only stop for a second at their destination before returning to their route. But, when the brahmin lose their pathing, they tend to hang around and end up on the SH rooftops. And then you end up with Brahmin running throughout the wrold to catch up to their owners!
