Producing Heavy Combat Armour with the factories?

So, I looked at the wikipedia page, and it said that you could produce the light, medium, and heavy variants of the leather, metal, and combat armour set. But I cant figure out how to tell the armour factory to do so. I've attached a computer to the factory, but it only lets me select light leather or metal armour. How do I get access to other options?

Ah, I'm not to far with them. I think I'm rank 1 in the armourer perk, but I get the gist of what you are saying. Rank up in Armorer, got it.

u dont get acccess to it, its making random basic parts of the version u want.
armour smith perk dont helps. u cant make heavy or medium ones ina relayable way.

You need a mod that allows it, think the manufacturing extended one does allow you to pick the type or another one allows you to make full suits.

I only manufacture ammo if anything, and even then rarely.

You need Armorer rank 4 to make heavy combat armor. It gives the perk requirement next the the item in the wiki.

Heavy versions is definately hard to get, I got my first piece (left leg) off a Mirelurk Queen , but I still need to find the other arms and right leg version of it. I only have rank 3 of armourer and level 35 so far on this playthrough so I guess I have to wait a bit longer for them to show up

One thing I do know is the devastator you get from cleo in good neighbor is better then any of the heavy armor versions so be sure to use that for the chest piece
