Legendaries like beserkers, bloodied and nocturnal apply modifiers to character damage, causing all of your weapons to be stronger while it is equipped.
Obviously when you pull out a different main weapon you lose the effect so displayed values return to normal. Where it gets weird is that it boosts your thrown weapons too and they can be used with your legendary equipped.
The only bug is that explosive damage values don't update to include this, and many other buffs too.
Also, changing the difficulty level affects how much damage one deals.
