Quest failed, you ran out of nuclear material and wood.
D:
Wood can be scrapped from the workshop and nuclear material often drops from enemies.
adhesive if you're not making a glue farm so all the local kids can still get high at school even in the Apocalypse.
Just look for alarm clocks and biometric scanners for nuclear material.
Just scrap boards and double barrel shotguns for wood.
Regularly harvested the purified water output into containers and used it to buy every scrap item, and bulk shipment, Carla sells. Being overburdened with hundreds of units of water wasn't an issue because she was close to the containers where I stored the water. I also built up my ammo supply by regularly buying from Carla.
I did the same at Starlight - water purifiers in the pool and pumps in the ground - and bought most of the supplies at the nearby Drumlin Diner.
By level 10-12 I had a huge amount of scrap materials. Note - I did not populate settlements at these levels, because I wanted a lot of materials before I decided whether settlements was a route I wanted to take.
The proximity of traders at Sanctuary and at Drumlin might be deliberate. Allows players to accumulate water that can then be bartered for supplies.
Might not suit everyones style of play but it facilitates building up a lot of supplies and quite quickly. The only issue I encountered was occasionally watching Carla saunter off, when I was waddling over while over burdened with tins of water...come back...come back...waddle waddle waddle...Caaaarlaaaa!
Does no one read? Like I appreciate people being helpful but at the same time there's a reason why I asked this question twice...
