What happened to the Citadel from Fallout 3?
I presumed that the Citadel still exists, since they say how the Brotherhood took Adams Air Force Base, and that elder lyons died after the battle, but when i was doing the ArcJet mission, Danse said " Remember the Citadel! ". Since usually a battlecry like this happens if they lost that battle, or if that place was destroyed, is it possible the Citadel was destroyed, or alteast it was attacked?

Well, since they mention "You should see the Citadel back in the Capital Wasteland" or something similar, I'd say the citadel is still kicking around

Never heard that line. Earlier in the game, Danse will comment that the police station is nothig like the citadel back home, implying it still stands. I do not remember anyone ever saying it was destroyed. Just more loose writing, I think.
Little off topic - I keep restarting the game to do things 'better' and now I am trying out surrvival. I never heard that line, but everytime I restart I do hear new dialogue. Like a Codsworth comment about College Square used to be lively.

But what about all the other players who nuked it? We might be playng FO4 in that timeline.

You get the option to blow it up during Broken Steel in Fallout 3.
I don't think that choice is canon though.

seeing as sara didnt die by lone wanderer at the battle of adams airforce base and lived long enogh to be elder in the stated lore im guessing the nuke ending isnt canon

I do believe the Citadel still stands, i was just curious because this is the first time i've heard Danse say that line.

Correct. That is not canon. I was just being a smart ass.

Yea. I wonder what writer came up with that and why they let it slip through. A multi year development and simple little edits to tighten up the game don't happen.
