the brotherhood is attacking me

I has at the scrap palace kill super mutants and near by ghouls, when a brotherhood vertibird came by and started killing killing the supermutants, and me. I am allied wit hthe railroad, and i ahve killed kellogg, but even after i killing kellogg and seeing the brotherhood members, and they didn't attack me. so idk whats going on.

Perhaps a grenade your threw, a fatman you launched or something else with area of effect did damage a BOS member?

I've had the Brotherhood bugged more times than I remember. Usually the longer I play the worse it gets (one time attacking my settlement while walking through) and some will show up red in my scopes while others are not. This time I'm actively shooting them ...and nothing.

Wish I could offer help as I've not seen a reliable way to fix it as the problem seems multifocal.

P.S. I don't use AOE weapons either...at least not until I added the DLC this game.
