Mole rats and hills not disapearing at Red Rocket.
Ok, first I'm playing on Xbox One, not PC. I know I can use mods to take care of it, but I'm wanting a unmodded playthrough first to get achivements.

Anyway, I'm currently 6 hours into the playthrough and have already rescued Preston and Gang and compleated the Sanctuary workshop questline. I HAVE NOT ACTIVATED THE WORSHOP AT RED ROCKET YET. Furthermore, I have waited close to an in game week in hopes that the molerat corpses and holes would despawn. They have not. I'm starting to worry that this issue will also cause me problems at Starlight Drive-in, since a Minutmen questline has you go a clear it out of mole rats before setting up a radio becon.

My question is, what can I do to fix this? Preferably without mods?

I know that you don't want to use mods, but the only way I'd know to do this is with the Spring Cleaning or Scrap Everything mods for settlements. You could try and go into the console, click on the hills/corpses and type "disable."

If these sorts of things annoy you, get a mod. The Mole hills in Star Light and Red Rocket, the ghoul that returns to the workbench shed in Sunshine tidings, even if you carry him out of the settlement. There are a million things that stay in Vanilla.

I have noticed in several playthroughs that they do disappear shortly after settlers move in, would appear to me that they "clean-up" that mess. I will usually use starlight as a base for awhile with no settlers so the dead molerats tend to stick around for awhile till I let settlers in.

Drag what corpses you can off the property.
~markfordelete (enter)~ for the rest.

Ignore the holes and build over them.

Usable for PC users. Not for OP though.

When you do move to use mods, then Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch does enable dead body cleanup scripts. Several were bugged, or completely missing.

Honestly I just scrapped them in workshop mode (The tunnels - the corpses did eventually disappear) for fertilizer. This was way before I used scrap everything to gp through on OCD rampages removing trash and scrap so I don't think it was a mod.

Those corpses are not in vanilla scrap list.

As mentioned, the tunnels, The corpses did eventually go away on their own.

You can scrap the holes in Vanilla?!?

Scrap, no. Console remove, yes.

Save your game. Open console target the object then type disable, then type markfordelete. Disable makes it invisible and no longer exist, markfordelete will actually delete the object next time the cell loads.

Like I said in the original post, I'm on Xbox One. I cannot use console commands without use of a mod. I don't want to mod because I'm wanting to get achievements. Unless there is a mod that can re-enable achievements on Xbox.

Would they get rid of the holes as well? I'm on Xbox, not PC.

This is your only option, on console with no mods.
There is no achievements enabler on console either.
If you ever see a mod for that, avpid it.
That would likely get your account suspended with microsoft.
Consoles are strict with things like that.

I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and use the settlement as is and try out the method that Spec Ops posted. Hope those blasted holes disapear.

Yes, the holes also disappear.
