Chameleon armor.
Is there any certain place to get pieces of it? Or is it just the luck of the draw?

This effect isnt on a "legedary" item, its pure drop

Random drop only, and if you have far harbor it will take a long time to get a full set.
(Far Harbor adds a lot of new (mostly terrible) legendary abilities, so the odds of getting a particular ability goes down.)

Thanks guys. I was afraid that might be the case.

The first time I played I had a piece drop from a legendary ghoul in the National guard building very early in the game. Thinking it would always be there I went back a while ago.

Got a legendary board of some kind instead. Bummer.......

Most of the legendary stuff seems pretty useless so far. A couple of nice exceptions but not much.

I just stored my chameleon gear. I mostly use reflex sights, so the effect was more trouble than worth.

However, I did notice that it works for followers as well. That can prove handy with Curie and her complete lack of stealth skills.

It is a cool gear. I didn't want it (or similar perk from the Stealth row), because of reflex sights. Cool for those playing a different kind of character.

I don't understand how they never fixed that effect. Literally just remove the visual effect and retain the increasing sneak effect. It wrecks your ability to use reflex sights and it glitches out your Pip Boy.

It is a quite rare drop

On my most advanced char (lvl 100+), ive got 2 chameleon pieces out of hundreds legendaries
Havent farmed them, just random drop from leganday mobs

I currently have 3 on a set of shadowed combat armor. I don't see that it messes up aiming at all; even deliverer you can see the tip of the weapon well enough to headshot. It just means you have to pay attention.

I suppose it might be harder if colorblind.
