Paladin Danse Affinity problem ANSWERED

It’s been stuck at 999 for a while.
I have not used console commands to raise affinity, just to see what it is.
He has not given me a personal quest like the other companions did.
What am I missing?

If I remember correctly you need to advance to a certain point with the BoS questline before it will advance to 1000.

His affinity quest is tied to BOS questline. You can't max it out before finishing that part of the questline.

You see it when you meet it. Further progression tip below:

Which ever path you take during Danse's quest, do NOT report it back, if you do not want to tie yourself to BOS for good.

You have to do the BOS Storyline after you gained access to the Institute, and you can Report back after that mission "Blind Betrayal" - its about not to take the next quest "Tactical Thinking" what is stomp in the Railroad from Lanser-Captain Kells.
Till that part its save to do the BOS line without cut off a fraction path/quests

The tricky part about this quest is that it may force you to choose between Danse's perk and your beliefs, between roleplaying and min-maxing. This all depends, of course, on how you feel about synths and whether they are human or machines.
