What the hell is this? Weird Texture/Shadow Bug??
okay so, i recently downloaded fallout 4 and then a few mods (however it also happens in vanilla game) and started playing and this happens, does anyone know what the hell it is? i can confirm it does happen with 1)no mods 2) after a full uninstall and reinstall and 3) on any graphical preset. any help on this would be appreciated as i am at an utter loss with this i can find no help anywhere online! i dont even know what to call it or search for. ill post a link to the images if need be but its too big for here, essentially what happens is i look at the ground or any texture in the sunlight and a strange gray overlay happens over my entire screen and character, sometimes it looks like a grass texture sometimes debris and sometimes weird patterns i really need help guys :(

I can just guess: It looks like clutter and debris textures are there as kind of an "overlay".

Questions:

1) Which mods did you use?
2) How did you install these - manually or with Nexus ModManager?
3) When you write about un-/reinstalling... did you delete your savegames, too?

When you write about "it also happens in Vanilla game, do you mean

It happened after the very first start, before applying any mods and / or altering the game in whichever way?

And finally:

Are you experienced with mods, how to install them, how to change your .ini files etc. to make them run?

Are you sure your graphics card is not artifacting? May also be a case of corrupted files.

yeah thats exactly what i thought it looked like too but found no referance online so was left thinking what the hell.
and to answer your questions:
1) i have removed all my mods and started a new game both before and after a clean reinstall, but beforehand i was only using a couple ui mods like DEFUI purely for the survival stats, as well as using horizon, AWKCR and armorsmith, and the rest were small mods, nothing to do with shadows, lighting or textures. (also F4SE, and the latest enb binary (no preset, just for the enboost feature)), like i said tried with all of them off the issue is still there.
2) i installed them with mod organizer 2 (aside from the script extender and enb, i have used mod organizer for every bethesda game i could)
3)i did not the first time around purely to speed up the process, then it remained and i deleted everything including savegames and mod organizer itself
4)id like to think im fairly experianced, though nowhere near as some, i can usually resolve an issue after an hour or so of tweaking and so on, this one has me stumped however

Still guessing, especially because I don't know nothing about consoles:

Are other games running on your xbox flawlessly?

oh sorry, this is on my PC, i just own it on xbox too, other games run perfectly fine on my pc however. Surely if it was some form of corruption doing a full reinstall would cure it?

I have something similar happening every once in awhile. Usually just exitting the game and then restarting it again fixes it. Sometimes a computer reboot as well.
Unfortunately neither seem to have any effect, positive or negative

okay so, it SEEMS to be being caused by the enb binary for fallout 4, after doing yet another complete reinstall adn then installing the "must haves" one by one, it appeared after installing the enb wrapper version, i have managed to remove it by disabling everything from enbseries, which is very strange to me, furthermore, i had use speedhackwithoutgraphics set to true already, ill do some further testing and see if it returns, but right now it appears the newest enb has caused this, can anyone provide some insight into this?

Wish you luck.

I never fiddled with this.
