There's two settings, one to turn on papyrus logging, and another one right below it, turn them both to 1.
You'll now get logs of game scripting, and you can see what's crashing it, they'll be in a logs directory in the same folder your found your ini file.
This should help you narrow things down. There's often lots of 'soft' errors than don't make a big deal but when things say STACK TRACE, or NONE error, things like that, "Cannot add one to an array of max 128" etc, you will have issues, and crashes.
If you have lots of settlements, especially lots of LARGE ones, consider getting the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch, and putting it in (even mid-game, if it's already crashing, it can't really do much worse, can it?).
Please back up your save games! If you aren't sure about the logs, well, just know, that I have 160+ mods and it runs all night and only crashes (Randomly at that) on Fast Travel use. So I have this 'underground railroad' mod and 'subways of the commonwealth' which both do the same thing - immersive fast travel, with those, it won't ever crash (rare 1 in 100 chance in an hour).
If you go in an out of the build editor in settlements a few times, quickly, or walk from settlement to settlement back and forth when they're nearby one-another, it will CTD the vanilla game without the unofficial patch. Just a heads up!
Run the game like normal with the logging on (or google how to turn on Fallout 4 papyrus logging), play until you have a crash. The look at the log. Repeat, until you find the offending mod.
The game supports adding mods for a new game or even mid-game. It doesn't support you toying heavily with load order, or REMOVING mods mid-game. Inventory, new weapon or armor mods (Which can be crash prone), will surely crash the game if you remove them so use due care here. Backup your load order if needed, before messing with or removing things, and your saved game too.
I'll try to log them but i have the patch, its in my list

Here is the quote from one of my threads:
Only posting to make you aware of a potential CTD issue with Functional Displays. It does not affect everyone and I don't know why it causes CTD for the players it does.
If you start getting random CTD as you travel the Commonwealth, there's been a CTD issue for some players due to where and how the author placed the collectible model cars and robots in the Commonwealth. If you do start having problems, I suggest uninstalling FD first to try and resolve it.
could the seasons mod be an issue? it is the biggest mod with the most cells needed to be changed
Achievements (Works only ith F4SE)
***Fallout 4 Seasons Spring 3.5
Modular Simonov PTRS Anti-Tank Rifle
Very Bottom of the list
It dosent crash AS MUCH but still does, I'll check each mod when i have a chance
