blue/green hair bug

Hey, the hair on all of my characters has randomly turned either Blue or Green today when I loaded it up. I didn't install anything new, I didn't do anything because it was there when I had just loaded in

I disabled all mods and I verified the game files already and it changed nothing.

... I load back in just now to get a screenshot and it's randomly fixed itself... ok then. GG Bethesda lol

That hair is supposed to be bleached.it's just my character. all NPCs are fine.

Edit: Aaaaaand it just fixed itself again after quitting and reloading the game 5 or 6 times... I'm very confused lol

Nice green tbh, might wanna check and make sure you dont have a retexture of the bleached hair thats acting wonky

I've done some minor experimenting. Initially, I thought the obvious answer would be a mod that adds hair colors. removed those, didn't change anything. So, I started going through individual mods, and found that it went away after I disabled a mod that adds facial tattoos and restarted the game entirely.

Why that mod in particular ended up locking my hair color to the degree that it stuck after disabling it like that, I have no idea. but disabling that mod and restarting the game entirely seems to have fixed it.

I have a similar bug, bleached hair for me now looks neon pink.

My guess is its one of the hair mods I have installed, but i never use bleached and only a few NPC's ever seem to have it so Its not that big of an issue for me.

i have the same problem but with both bleached and silver hair colors

I am getting the same, White and Bleached Colours are like Mint or Turquoise Green, a nice shade, but it is strange seeing NPCs with this colour hair when it should be white.

I disabled the Mods that I added as the ones before did not alter it before, so the new ones were disabled and still the same. When I started a new game, must be a core file issue as I uninstalled it from my C: and reinstalled it on my SSD Drive and no change, while it is not a major issue it does get kinda annoying.

Would be nice if there was a Mod that addressed this and returned White and Bleached hair colours to what they should be.

old thread is old, have you looked at your video settings and ini customization for detail and reflectivity? If you are using ANY mods that affect appearance, are they in the correct load order?

On the other hand, that screenshot (I was surprised it's still up after mumblemutter years) I would KILL to have hair like that, lol what a gorgeous teal...

Worked it out on how to sort the problem I uninstalled the game deleted the Old Files and reinstalled and the White Hair and Bleached is back to normal.

It could have been an issue with some of the existing colours getting shuffled slightly out of place, since from what I recall there's a colour similar to that amongst the additional colours you can get through the game's normal barber choices.

You can't see the bluish one all that well on the beard, but these three are all using colours available from barbers in an unmodified game:

The only thing with the way I sorted out the hair colour was I had to re-download the mods I had and this time I reinstalled the ones I knew would not alter the hair colour.

It was amusing to see Abbot in Diamond City with The Joker hair colour LOL
