Is there a mod that lets you run power into your vault or settlement without having to mess around with wires?
I recently got the vault-tec workshop mod. I already began building the vault, but I find it tiring having to mess with wire to get power to the entire vault.

Is there a special thing to build, a mod, or a console command that bring power to the entire vault?

It's kind of OP, but there are a few different versions of Fusebox Generator mods (here's one https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12258 ) ... I started using them because I hated the noise of the generators in the settlement, and thought they were ugly. You can stick a few of them around and get away with a lot fewer wires.

There's also Longer Power Lines, with different flavours, that will at least let you string longer lines. I use the Infinite version.

em lol seriously? u need powerlines for a VAULT? u are aware vault walls are a power grid themself and u only need to plaster a Vault electric conductor to a vault wall that is somehow connected to a vault generator (by vault floors and walls that properly clipped together) ?
its the white plate with a electric conductor at it at nearly the end of the power conductors and switches line. thism things emit power like the normal oldstyle conductors too, so when u have some lamps jsut plaster one vault condutor to a wall near the lamp.

i edited it in this quoting of the message.
maybe i'm being ocd about it and anyone would figure it out.

It is not a browser thing, but a Steam thing. It reads all extra symbols as part of the link, if URL-tags are not used.

Which is why I always use URL-tags to post any links in Steam.

As mentioned, you don't need wires for Vault pieces, or Vault 88 for that matter. The only 'trick' is properly clipping both sides of doorways together to keep the power flowing. Vault 88 has its default generator and to push power into the Vault you need to properly attach a doorway to the initial entrance. You do have to put the wall conduit pieces around though to radiate power for lighting.

For wiring Settlements there's a trick that lets you utilize infinite wire distance, and also pass the wire through walls. To do it you highlight a wire currently attached to a connector, but put the pointer on the connector. Then you press the 'attach wire' button, and presto!

You'll know you've done it correctly when you hear a sparking sound. You won't see a wire, but if you press space on another object a wire will appear. Quick and easy trick that saves to much hassle.
