Heres your NB https://imgur.com/DBPRaUK under advanced settings.
From there go to "integrated graphics", and set it to manual, or "force" whatever it is you have there. Save and exit.
On list of contents, 2.6 is advanced options. Northbridge and its configuration are within.
2.6.4 specifically, refers to NB Configuration, IGFX, primary video device, integrated graphics, and UMA Frame Buffer, which is what directly controls how much memory the integrated chip will be using, if any at all.
If you cant find and edit any of this, then i dunno, good luck.
I think that a OP's friend who knows better tech wise or a technician should check and update BIOS of the mobo, if there are essential fixes.
@OP: Don't try this on your own, it's too early.
It might be that your brand+type of memory is not compatible with your motherboard? It is pretty rare that this is an actual problem, but might be worth giving a shot. Asus normally has a list of compatible parts on their support site.
[AI Tweaker]
AI overclock tuner: "auto".
Memory frequency: auto".
(These are the first 2 options. This is just to play it safe.)
Then go to the [Advanced menu] and enter the following submenus:
> [CPU Configuration]
Check if everything here is either set to "enabled" or to "auto".
> [NB Configuration]
IGFX Multi-monitor: set to "disabled".
Primary video device: set to "PCIE".
Integrated graphics: "auto".
If you still don't see the [NB Configuration] option, look around all submenu's until you see the IGFX option. There always is an option to either turn of the IGPU or to give priority to the deducated GPU.
Evidently make sure that your monitor is hooked up the the HDM or DVI port on the dedicated card, not to the motherboard backplane.
Note: if you ever add extra memory to your PC, it is advised to turn the IGFX multi-monitor back to "enabled". But leave the PCIE as primary.
FYI: in the Tools menu in the BIOS is an option called "ASUS SPD Information". That will also give you information on your memory modules if you want.
