Welding sound glitch is driving me up the wall

For some reason there is this constant sound looping in the back round at all times. It goes away when I enter menus like crafting or the pipboy. But as soon as I jump back into the game it starts back up. I've tried litteraly every fix I could find

-charging certain weapons and firing them

-restarting the game

-sleeping

-killing myself.

I think the sound that is looping is the welding sound that plays when NPCs work on power armor or the prydwen

no, it was anywhere I went. I ended up fixing it by sitting in the combat armor crafting animations until my guy welded and then stopped
