It isnt like ESO. It looks like an upgraded Fallout 4 engine.
This is a guess, but it could be single player focused but you can invite others to enter your game. So like Fallout 4 with a new focus beyond the story similar but not the same as settlements, yet you can invite friends.
Seems to be even more survival focused as well. As in tough to get gear and food and stay healthy etc.
DLC may be a focus to. Large DLC and maybe small, which some may not like, but could be excellent. Dont want a donut shop? Fine dont buy it. With larger DLC like Far harbour, perfectly playable without, but definately adds alot.
Last of all, there may be no multi player at all and that rumour was about a different title.
9 days and 17 hours to find out watching the press conference. :)
Anyone wants proof of this, just listen to MXR state that no one is buying Creation Club credits...
I just checked, Creation Club credits are on the 8th page for top sellers... They were on the third page earlier today, guessing before the weekend sales kicked in...
Some leaks were true in the past, but until E3 (which is in what, 9 days?) it's best to just wait til then.
Although, there are two bad things about creation club that I think most can at least agree with:
A) Their quality control is..meh
B) Forcing users to buy large credit packs for some creations is a bit flawed to be honest with you, at least offer a custom amount, or offer the creations on steam so they can buy it straight up.
(Steam has a policy about seperate store purchases).
Yeah, this is my way of thinking too... Presuming no non-CC mods is accurate, people will find a way around this on PC before too long...
Only hitch will be that any game mechanics changing mods will obviously cause problems during (again presuming it's true) any sort of coop play...
Texture and UI mods should not pose any problems however, as they are common place in many online games...
Frankly, incompatibility with coop play is the only legitimate argument I could see Bethesda making as to why they'd try to restrict modding 76... But even then, there'd be nothing stopping them simply adding the caveat that modding is not supported in coop play, etc...
I cab see mods being incompatible with PvP, why is it incompatibile with co-op?
Ever tried playing a multiplayer game when two people are running different mods, or even one of those two running mods? Usually results in one or the other crashing from my past experience, due to each person's game not communicating properly with the other as a result of those mods trying to do things, or change things, the other game cannot understand...
Now, like I said, textures and UI should be fine, but could you imagine a mod that alters combat mechanics, or weapon damage etc? You're going to have each game fighting with the other because the instructions the mods are giving each game do not match, resulting in them crashing out, or failing to communicate...
Though I obviously can't speak for 76, every other game I've tried to play in the past in multiplayer has required I disable any sort of gameplay altering mods, before I could get a stable game going, sometimes I couldn't even find other players while using custom mods (due to the game detecting different game files)...
Pure speculation at the moment, and MXR is also promoting incorrect information anyway, since people ARE buying Creation Club credits...
