Survival Mode Build - High Endurance + Luck
In the past, I played a sneak and High Int build. (3S 2P 1E 5C I8 7A 1L)
I watched ironman and was inspired to build a tony stark character with a little twist that is a tony that sneaks. It was pretty cool crafting gear and dish out damage mutlipliers while sneaking with my 6 crank laser musket. However i found the gameplay too slow. I find myself putting too much time into gathering resources and also dying alot or having to run away when i'm detected. I was telling myself to be patient until I can use power armor efficiently for mid to late gameplay. However I do not have much time to play anymore and in dire need of a new build that would allow me to finish story without having to switch to non-survival mode...

Im thinking of a High Endurance build. (1S 4P 8E 2C I1 5A 7L)

Essentially, I was inspired by a "synth / ghoul" hybrid kinda build, Would role play as protagnist who was the sole survivor of an experiment by the Institute. He would then venture out like Wolverine to destroy all thing unnatural as well as his creators. He would do this by being a true lone wonderer and not build a base nor craft gear.

Since i have low int, i will add Idiot Savant to help with leveling up. Though i hate this perk for its silly name... one simply does not have to be stupid to be lucky...

So with this build, i plan to make it durable so i don't have run away as much. I would max out perks such as Adamantium Skeleton, Ghoulish, Medic, moving target and maybe Solar powered as well.

For damage wise, I would add Critical Banker, better criticals perk early on. I would also get scrounger this time for ammo as i plan to use Commando perk. Yup... I am bored with rifles/shotguns/snipers.... I will try Commando. Then I will get Lone wanderer for both surviability and damage. Demolition Expert make sense for this build as well to soften enemies up before i fire in bursts.

Because I would be entirely dependent on loot, i will also be adding Locksmith and cap collector. Hopefully... this would help me with ammunition and caps.

Last but not least.. for convenience I would max Action Boy and Moving Target and add 1 point to Aquaboy. This would help travelling greatly. Having high endurance would further allow me to sprint longer..

What dyou think guys? Will I be able to play survival mode?
Will auto weapons help me greatly for critical banker? I googled and it seems it's depend on the number of hits i make. So will Auto weapons help with this regard?

Sounds like a "spray and pray" build; Commando + Demo expert. It's fun .. though I've never tried it with VATS, as you just aim for the feet and they die due to the explosive effect. Though you'd need to make sure to stand a bit farther away or die yourself, from your own damage. Most things will still 2-3 shot you without the right armor, even with endurence perk as things do 2.5x more damage to you in survival, but with combat armor you'll be quite durable and with spray and pray, deadly.

You're right. I have to amend the build to include armorer... i just approached a dude who only got a pistol. It took him 3 shots to kill me... the first short crippled my head... a damned pistol... wow.

I have edited my build to Im thinking of a High Endurance build. (2S 4P 7E 2C I1 5A 7L)

I decided to use “You are special” book to charisma so i get lone wanderer fast.

I played a (very hard) high luck build based on luck tree perks and using VATS and it was godly. I quit playing it because at some point you essentially have unlimited usage of VATS and crits and it was a cakewalk.

Honestly the only thing "Hard" about survival mode is finding incrediants to keep making antibiotics since you catch a disease every 5 minutes.

Any "build" with high endurance is good. You can get away with 7 just for the regen and all those primary and secondary radiation defenses. After that you basically just choose how you want to fight. I like Strength for all the builabale perks.
