Random Mini Nuke Explosions
Let me start with that I only have the Xbox version, so things may or may not vary from the pc version. My problem is that while walking through Lexington, I've seen random mini nuke explosions. I've searched the areas in hopes to find the source (and the awesome gun). I've only found the corpse of a super mutant, and while looting him I heard another mini nuke around the corner! This all started when I left Kendall Hospital. There was random fighting, then a grenade, then the first mini nuke. At a gas station (red rocket, I think) I found that dead super mutant. Then the second nuke around the corner. I headed straight for the fighting, but didn't find a single corpse or even signs of fighting. Then I headed south, and found a raider camp. I finished them all off, started looting, and there was a third nuke going off right in front of me!! This is really confusing me, and I'm afraid I'll randomly get nuked and loose all my progress (since I'm not in the habit of saving often). Is this a glitch, or is someone firing these?

104 and you still have troble?! I'm only level 12. I guess I'm lucky to be alive.

The attacker is one of two raiders up on a walkway that overlooks the grassy park area in the middle of Lexington, where you'll also usually find a bunch of ghouls. The walkway is above the street that leads east out of that area (mostly hidden by a big billboard as I recall).

Well, at least that's the one in Lexington, there would have to be someone else around Kendall Hospital, though you've also got super mutant suiciders and such that might account for a nuke explosion.

Wait, there are super mutant suiciders?! Sorry, but I'm completely new to both fallout and fps games in general. Though I do know the basics.

When you hear:

Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep.

That slowly gets louder, Run for your life.

Let's just say you should watch out if you hear beeping... :steamhappy:

EDIT: Ninja'd. Should I also warn you to watch out for cars?

This guy!
I cleared out the whole building and only had one gunner left. I jumped down to him and only then saw that he has a fat man. He instantly blew me up and sent me back half an hour.

Someone mentioned cars; cars in the Fallout Universe are nuclear powered. So, if they get shot up something fierce they will explode.

Ironman means my character hasnt died once since starting the game. This is on survival with no added gear and equipment from mods.

I do have the Higwayman car and can bring as many companions as i want though. I usually have around 5 companions traveling with me. Getting max affinity with each of them and doing slow playthrough since the start of the game.

So my character will get in the best fully upgraded power armor some time soon and be very carefull when dealing with that guy.

(I had to do some reloading to avoid getting the molerat disease)

Watch out for the Children of Atom as well. Nuka grenades and Nuke mines can turn a good day bad in a hurry.

Also be careful about storing a fatman & mininukes in your settlements as one of the settlers may grab them during a raid and start firing off nukes like an idiot.
Are you playing with mods, or without any mods?
