only a mod can help like the cheat terminal mod that has specialty weapons like that in it's cheat terminal or rolling back your save before it happened

Or get fatman and use console commands to add the "Two shot" legendary

As above, using the console maybe your only answer, just for future ref, do not use corpses as a storage medium...unless the corpse is like a permanent corpse that is always there (ie part of the background, not a dead npc), even then they are not classed as a safe storage space.

The corpse just outside the bridge in sanctuary is one.

This is why I just pick a spot to dump stuff and go back for it afterward. The corpses disappear (except the one in Sanctuary), so just pick a spot you know you'll remember and go back to it after.

Do not simply pick a spot. Only store you things inside the containers in claimed settlements and no where else. All containers in this game will reset periodically. Safest place to store your things is the Home plate in DC.

Is it safe to store my junk in the weapons workbench in dc?

Any container anywhere but a settlement, can and will eventually respawn. Replacing any stored items for random loot or nothing.

I don't know if that's a great idea. Settlers will often run to workbenches and chests to take weapons or items out during raids.

I tend to use the elevator bits to build my room atop so the settlers can't take loot out of my personal room. They can have all the crappy pipe weapons I stick in the workbench though.

That doesn't actually work. Game doesn't store settler locations when you leave the settlement. It places them where it thinks they need to be, when you enter in to region. This is one way they end up standing on roofs.

Game can drop settlers to any location within settlement borders. This means that they can just as well get to your stash, even without any visual means to get there.

Good practise is to keep ammo separate from weapons. Settlers need both and do not need weapons that they can't use.

Best practise is to store all the absolutely relevant junk to Home Plate.

The worst I've had with the current design I'm using for Sanctuary is occasionally PReston will be in the floor when I get there, But who really cares about Preston?

Shame about the settlers though.. It ws a pain in the butt to line the elevator up without using any of the warehouse bits. >.< Thought I was onto something. XD

If you really need to temporarily store stuff when you're away from settlements, try to use crafting stations, since these never reset their contents or disappear. People can still try to take weapons or ammunition from them, but weapons are only taken when the person has, or can get, ammunition, and this is a combat behaviour, not something they just do at random (so unless a fight breaks out in DC, they'll leave stuff alone).

Regular containers won't reset their contents if you're indoors and don't pass through any loading doors or elevators (because many elevators, the ones whose roof hatches don't open, are just there to disguise loading a new area). They may not reset anyway, but if you want to be safe, don't leave stuff behind in regular containers when you exit that game cell.

Wait fights happen in diamond city like raiders or mutants come and attack?

And like the security fights them

Also ik this is off topic but ya know what doesn’t make sense ya know the quest confidence man?
How did the raiders take vadim away in front of all the guards and residents and still get away not mention the outside security with all the turrets and when u leave they dug out in the guards and residents said nothing happened and besides they aren’t even that formidable just like 10-11 guys nothing diamond city couldn’t handle

Sorry, I just came in here to chuckle. I keep forgetting that in order for Fallout to be sold to "certain" countries they renamed the weapon to Big Boy. . . . .It's a Fat Man, to everyone else.
