Jet pack sucks.......what am I doing wrong?
I got leveled enough to put a jet pack on some power armor so woohoo!

But it sorta sucks. I have watched YouTube videos of people flying quite high with it. It looks awesome, but I can't get it to work like that for me.

What happens is I hit space to jump....... nothing happens other than jumping. So I hit space again while in the air and yay it works....... except not very well. I get maybe 10 feet up or so and then down I come. I try hitting it in short bursts but that doesn't seem to help much.

From the videos I see I KNOW I must be doing it wrong.

So...... What do I need to do?

It also drain fusion core energy really fast, so use it sparingly

Action points must be the problem then. I have completely ignored that aspect of the game.

Thanks.

In addition, the height you can reach in any one use of jumpjets is limited. Use them to reach a higher point, land, let your action points recharge, then use them a second time to get to a higher ledge/rock.

When you are already up high on a building or rock ledge, you can travel quite a long distance horizontally using jumpjets. At ground level you won't be able to travel very far before you have to land.

Ok I made some armor mods to increase action points and some power armor mods to do the same thing.

Dramatically better now. Now I guess I can work on some perks to increase this as well.

Thanks for the help guys. Much better now.
