Proctor Teagan sells that sort of weapon. You get access to him if you join the Brotherhood.

Also, check this:

The page in mentions Aeternus (above the locations section) as well, but getting that requires delving a long way into the storyline of the Nuka World DLC.

You can also have them turn up as random legendary weapons at level 37 and higher, but they're one of the rarest possibilities.
The most easily accessible gatling laser is likely on Regi Blattaria http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Regi_Blattaria
Downside is the location is *too* easily accessible and if you go there below the level he spawns at, only radroaches spawn and AFAIK he doesn't spawn at all for that playthrough.
Also listed in the wiki article linked in ealier comments, is buying it from Ronnie Shaw (the old grumpy minute(wo)man that shows up in the Castle after you take it).
That said, in vanilla the gatling laser has little practical utility and gets outperformed by many other, more easily obtainable guns.

Can also get your craft on, hit Science 4, gather a bunch of junk together (And I do mean a BUNCH, it takes a diverse selection of mats), and create one using the Energy Weapons Forge from the Contraptions DLC.

For bonus points, you can then keep making them if you have excess mats, and either sell them for a nice profit or have a settlement with the most dangerous settlers ever.

...of course, by the time you hit Science 4 you'll be level 41 and probably tired of waiting for that Gatling Laser, but that's a minor detail. You made it all by yourself! ;)

Just kill the Brotherhood thugs at the airport, you dont lose any faction and they respawn.......
I have a blast sneaking close enough to toss a flare so the minutemen can BLAST them with artillery!!!! lol

I had a legendary laser gatling with 50 radiation damage. Lost it when I died two minutes later, lol.

Try something like a Broadsider or Harpoon gun. Very heavy on damage and you can recollect ammo.

My main ligit game has a defiant harpoon, luckiest drop from a trapper.

I think you might be running mods for that one. The harpoon gun has the keyword for a potentially small clip size, and the defiant legendary prefix disallows weapons with that keyword.

I don’t got dlc and cannonballs are very rare but fusion cores aren’t that expensive off vendors

Nope, completely unmodded. I'm not the only one either. I actually made a topic about it about two years ago, and others have gotten one too. Something may have changes since then, although I know there are legendary exceptions, never seen them work.

Cannon balls are rare but you can pick them back up. Once you get some you can roll without buying ammo.

Far Harbour hadn't even been quite released two years ago.

As for defiant weapons with a small clip size, I've never used any mods, and I've tested it extensively in addition to comparing my results to the Creation Kit information. It reliably avoids ever producing them, and did so back when I was first testing it. I was originally seeing if I could get a defiant missile launcher, and ended up with a list of weapons with that same clip size keyword. Some of the keyword stuff I ended up investigating has also been useful for deliberately making glitch weapons.

Qualifier, /about/ two years ago. Far harbor is almost two years old (Like 1yr 10months ago), it was a few.days after luanch.

I get broken weapons all the time without mods. My fav is the two shot rocket launcher, as I recall, that one shouldn't happen either. I cannot force spawn a broken though, have to find it on a body.

Without mods now, or without mods ever? It sounds very much like you've altered your game at some point if it's doing things that can't be replicated in someone else's game.

What do you mean by "force spawn"? How are you suggesting you'd force it?

Nope, never once a mod. I do use console, but not to force changes. I have multiple installs, one is clean and never seen a mod, its my main ligit game. But I do have test characters, and saves I use specifically for unmodded console testing.
