How the hell do I uninstall Creation Club mods? [SOLVED]
So, I installed that golden retriever one, just cause it was free and I wondered what the creation club stuff was like. However it's completely broken. The dog is named "LOOKUP FAILED!" the two options are "E LOOKUP FAILED!" and "R LOOKUP FAILED!" both options in the pop up box when I press R are "LOOKUP FAILED!". The mod does not work at all, so I want to uninstall it, but there's no button and all I'm finding is saying that it's in the files, but I can't find it there. Can someone please help?

If you had this problem install this https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26575?tab=description
For some dumb reason you can't uninstall or disable creation club mods, sorry, and with the new ones you can't delete their files without bricking your game. Your best bet it to finish whatever associated quest the creation has or use console commands to nearly permenantly erase it from the whole game.

Navigate to the data folder for Fallout 4 (Browse local files through steam)

Delete any file in data that starts with "cc"

Note some files will be redownloaded if you verify the files. But it's just the first batch I think, everything else should stay gone unless you manually redownload it through the CC interface.

It wasn't in there.

1) go to the Data directory and remove the ba2 and esl files for the mod

2) in the Fallout 4 directory, open the "Creations" folder, open each of the "manifest" files that were created in this folder with an ordinary text editor, locate the one that contains the esl file name and delete it. If the same "manifest" contains several creations, just delete the line containing esl filename

This is why even the free stuff is not worth getting

Don't give me that ♥♥♥♥, it's just as hard to remove Nexus mods cleanly.

Real bummer for the console kiddies though, once you get a CC items, it's there for life, so if you don't like it, no escape.

I just go into votex and either select disable or remove depending on what I want to do

There isn't any ba2 or esl for the mod I installed

I could try verifying my cache. But it seems a bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid bethesda needs me to manually install their ♥♥♥♥
What file are you actually looking for and what problem are you actually having?

if you're having lookup failed it means the file doesn't exist, try verifying.

I'm looking for the file for the Golden Retriever mod, as I said. I can't find it, I want to remove it cause the mod is broken, all the custom text is "LOOKUP FAILED!" and I can't actually finish the quest.

Which is because of a free mod, and there are patches for them to work with the creation club content

But with your attitude I'm not going to link to the nexus page that has the dialogue patch that fixes that

That's why you're getting Lookup failed, because the file doesn't exist, but the Manifest file is still installed.

Try sorting your manifest files by date (Creations folder), and deleting your most recently installed Manifest file. That should be your most recently downloaded CC. Then load a save before you got the quest for the dog.

My attitude? I was just answering a question.
