the mods save location is the same as vanilla saves.

my save folder looks like this

D:\Users\hope\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\Saves

because my win 7 install is on D: drive.
if you have only one OS installed it would be C: drive.

and the username here is hope.
yous will be whatever user name you have.

I checked there before, and I don't see [M] versions of my save data or any of the ones I made today.

Saves are given an alphanumeric code at the start to indicate which character they belong to. Adding mods moves your saves to a new character, which means a new code. Sorting by date will show you which are the most recent saves.

OP, The [M] you see ingame is only there to let you know you have a modded game save. That [M] does not display in your My Games/Fallout 4 saves folder. The only reason Beth added the [M] ingame is because when you have mods you can't get Achievements anymore. Until you install a mod to re-enable Achievements.

well it seems that we are thinking alike, i was just going to type the same thing to you.

i have several characters and i see the times and dates to indicate when i saved them, and they are at the times that i was playing different characters.

so i'm thinking there is nothing more for me to say other than, good luck.

if you go to load on the main menu and look at all your saves, ones that are modded should have the [m] next to them

I took a closer look into the save file and I now notcied the new saves that were made today, I never notcied because since I added the mods they are now starting from save 1 and counting.

There are 2 mods that prevent the game recognising your game is modded by the way(for achievement purposes), one for if you use f4se the other for if you don't:

With f4se: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12465

Without: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15639

In the likeliness that F4SE breaks (and it probably will) It's better to get the one without it unless you already use it, rather than encouraging use of it.

What did you mean when F4SE breaks down?

F4SE stops working if Bethesda alters the game's main executable. It usually takes a couple of days to get a new version. F4SE mods don't work during that period.
Ilja 24 ENE 2018 a las 3:17
Though it is easy enough to prevent runtime updates and/or backup the executable.

Bethesda moved their content updates out from application. It is still likely that they will update it at some point this spring, depending on where the issue with CC crashes are coming from.

I am not worried at all about runtime updates. I honestly do not see any reason to avoid F4SE either, but of course each player does what they feel is best for their own gaming experience.

Well I tried out the mods and I would recommend usuing the manual version since you don't need to wait for a newer version of F4SE, the manual mod did work my saves worked as if they were clean un modded. I didn't do anything to get achievements but that doesn't really matter to me I just wanted to copy saves that are stored in the same catgeory.
Greg 24 ENE 2018 a las 9:28
I created a save with the mods enabled and it appeared as a clean save, after disabling the mods and loading the modded save again it said this save has content that is no longer available, I used mods that only affected the game visually or changed very minor things in the game. I used the power armor enter/exit mod to try this. If anyone is gonna start their playing the game modded for the 1st time or just to replay it again use the achievement mod so it will be easier to copy saves.
