DEF_HUD does not really make any changes on it's own. It can't really cause issues in your game. Was there a reason why you uninstalled the mod? Didn't applications run correctly for you?
And yeah: it looks like you have removed required XML content. I would uninstall all HUD mods and start from the beginning, to make sure that game has correct XML files.
Well i dunno about def_hud, i've read here and there that at some point it had a problem with an icon, since i installed a few other mods, i thought this issue could've reappeared or something ...
Tbh i experiment crashes and i'm so annoyed by them i have no idea what to really to sort the problem ^^" .... So i try stuff
It shouldn't interfere with icons. If you had UI replacement item, then that might have cause some issues, but I am using plenty of tweaks myself.
You might want to try and install DEF_HUD again, just to run HUDMenuSet.exe and see if something is completely out of place in your HUD. If not, then problems you experienced area likely not coming from DEF_HUD part.
Or, could it be that "Gold Kit for Color pib-boy - Anti black and white screen -" is conflicting with it ..? I know i have to chose to overwrite DEF_HUD files when installing this one, or it simply doesn't work at all
3) If you want DEF_INV:
3a) Within the archive, navigate back to the root and open the INV folder.
3b) Open the common folder and extract the interface folder to your game Data folder
3c) Navigate back to the INV folder then resolutions folder
3d) Open the folder for your screen resolution and extract the interface folder to your game Data folder
3e) Navigate back to the INV folder then to the lang folder
3f) Open the appropriate language folder
3g) Extract the interface folder to your game Data folder
3h) If you already have .xml files from your sorting mod (like VIS), then you can skip the next couple of steps.
3i) If you don't have a sorting mod, open the vanilla folder and extract the interface folder to your game Data folder
3j) If you are using a sorting mod and don't already have DEF_INV .xml files, open the sorting mod folder under your language folder and extract the interface folder to your game Data folder.
if you must read it here , (why you cant read it off the mods page escapes me
