I've broke the game. Please help [semi resolved]
So I digitally downloaded Fo4 and all was good, I used the NMM to download some mods (things like gas masks, armour etc.) and everything was working fine.

Then I tried to download a reshade mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/108/? ) and the install instructions were pretty unclear. In my common stupidity, I downloaded an application thingy ( https://reshade.me/ ) and tried to put it in my game thinking it would activate the mod. I fiddled around with some things, and I don't know where I went wrong. I was thinking "you know, I got this!" Man, did I not have it. When I tried to launch Fo4 using NMM (via the normal launcher AND F4SE) it wouldnt work. Last night I stayed up until 5 AM completely redownloading the game in an attempt to start over, but all the files were still there and it still refuses to work. Please help me for I am a stupid idiot who should probably pay more attention to school. Is there a way to delete all mods/applications from your folder to make the game completely vanilla or something? PLEASE HELP ME and PLEASE use stupid baby English, for I know almost nothing about computers.

EDIT: I used an ENB/ReShade remover mod and now I can launch it via the standard Fallout launcher in NMM (no mod plugins are activated), however, not through F4SE. Does this mean i should reinstall it?
EDIT 2: I reinstalled F4SE and now it is also working, so I think I've fixed my problems! I must've ran the ReShade application on my loader and ruined it or something! But while I'm here, does anyone know and good ENB/ReShade mods that ACTUALLY come with instructions for download? I want to make my game look more dull and grey to resemble a webcomic I've read (Romantically Apocalyptic, to be precise)
EDIT 3: nothing would work, so for a while (until I can be bothered to get off my lazy butt) I'll just use the Pilgrim ENB which works fine and has little performance effect on my rig.

thats the problem. i dont see a "ReShade" folder anywhere. i'll try re-installing F4SE (again)

It probably didnt create it if you selected the fallout 4 folder and not the exe. Also decay is quite outdated and wants reshade 1.1.0 i just noticed, thats not what that installed is I believe its 3. something.
i installed it to the fallout4 application in the fallout 4 folder. does that mean it could possibly be decay's fault? or is that installation wrong (it wouldnt let me install it in the whole Fallout 4 folder i'm pretty sure)

If you want to use decay heres what you have to do:

1. Re install F4SE if you havent.

2. download reshade 1.1.0 from here (take the spaces out steam wont let me post it)
http://www. mediafire .com/file/43ulu31ui431z43/ReShade+Framework+1.1.0.7z

3. install it the old way like the video I posted earlier

4. Copy decay files to the reshade folder in the fallout 4 folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Reshade

Ok in the zip you downloaded extract these:

Reshade folder
Reshade64.Dll
Reshade.Fx

Put them inside the Fallout 4 folder here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\

Lastly once your done that in the same folder

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\

Rename Reshade64.dll to dxgi.dll

Then Install decay files to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Reshade

Then try running it through F4SE

If it still doesnt work i would go back to the 3.0 installer. Choose the right fallout4.exe this time and it should install the reshade folder. Then try the 2 files from decay but backup the originals dont overwrite in case you need to go back. If it works great and if not i would find another preset that is more up to date.

Or you could manually compare those two config files from reshade core and decay and just edit the core ones yourself to match. You will at least be able to get it close and be running on the newer reahade. (Which I can confirm works with the latest Fallout 4)

none of the options seem to work. with the 3.0 installer, i assume you mean the Fallout4 application inside the Fallout 4 folder (in common etc)? also, what option do i choose, because theres 3 options (when i first tried i used direct3d 10+ and it didnt work, in neither 3.0 or 1.1)

Delete the reshade folder and whatever you last named that .dll first to be safe, then run the installer.
