War never changes overhaul question
i discovered the War never chnages overhaul after i already located several other mods that allows me to do some of the things overhaul does, if i download overhaul will it come into conflict with those things or just be redundant?

Example: Companion infinite ammo mod conflicts with overhauls companion infinite ammo?

If mods do the same things, or edit the same areas, then generally don't get along well. Some if it can be fixed by making your own patch, some of it can't be though.

i wonder ,,,, could the author [s] have addressed that in the/their readme's ?

Despite being out for some time now, Fallout 4 modding scene is still in it's child shoes. Mod authors do not always play nicely with each other, or community.

I am seeing way to many mods and files that could have been distributed as patches. Especially latter. It looks like someone told them that less separate file downloads/FOMOD installer options is a sign of pro - which is exactly the opposite of it.

Why don't people ask questions about mods on the mod author's site? Nexus, etc? I really don't understand this.

To be honest, unless it is a bug report, this forum likely knows compatibility issues better than they do.

And yes: if it is relevant, then forum regulars do add them to threads.

Sorry, but I don't believe that. Just my opinion though.

Which part?
- We get to see most conflicts?
or
- We do not actually report them forward?

if you took the time to read the description page for the mod there is a detailed list of what works and doesnt ,
why ,oh why cant people read the readme's or the description !

Two things that people ignore:
- Description
- Pinned topics.

I do not say that it is the case here, but... you know.. it is usually the case in everywhere.

i read em before coming here, you seem to be putting a decent amount of energy on hating some one for asking a question... if only there was a way for you not to have to reply...

so you read the detailed compatibility list ?
then why the post asking about something you already knew ?
we know you didnt bother reading it, if you did you wouldnt be asking here .
i just dont get why people like you refuse to help yourselves .
you need somebody to tell you ,
you want to add mods to the game , yet you dont bother actually reading what they require .
you dont get how stupid that is do you ?
i'm not hating on anyone , i'm mystified as to how incompetent people can be ,
geez
read what your installing ,
read the instructions
help yourself

not trying to start a flame war or anything here, its a simple equation.

People have a question, people have a answer. People who have an answer are divided into two groups, those that enjoy helping and those that just want to whine for no reason... what do you think you fall under?

If you are a generaly nice person who just wants to inform others about the various resources at our disposal i think i better way to phrase your original statment is.. "just as a heads up, all and any information your seeking is on the mods nexus page including conflicts, bugs and more ind epth details about the mod."

but for some reason you just seem so very angry about people asking for help, yet you come to the forums regardless. you know you can just not come to the forums right? if some one here did not have the answer i was looking for i would then undergo the more lengthy process of reading the mod notes.

i doubt you would bother reading or even contemplating any of this so i have simply just reported you for negative behavior, whether or not that was the right choice ill leave up to the mods, have a good day.

-curious and strapped for time

pike Jan 18, 2018 @ 9:20pm
you dont get it , if you are going to install something , you should know what you are installing .
your attitude is absurd , you're to busy to read the notes and instructions , but you have plenty of time to sit and wait for someone to figure it out for you .
if you would have spent the 2mins reading the mods page you wouldnt have spent 2 hours waiting for someone to tell you the same thing .
you dont get it .
report all you want .
that's your right
Soloquendi Jan 19, 2018 @ 6:57am
Whine about nothing? No, people are divided into two groups.

Those who keep giving a man a fish, and those who try to teach a man to fish.

I call the former Mommy Sitters. Basically enablers who like to feel like their helping, but in the long run aren't. This is why people come here instead of Nexus. On Nexus, they expect people to read and try to help themselves before asking a question. Here, it's just HELP ME! PLS! over and over and over.
