How badly does everyone want to put a bullet in 'Uncle Ken's' ear? (Far Harbor)
 Irritating characters aren't anything new to Fallout 4, but Mitch's Uncle Ken grates on my nerves....severely :wa:

Who are some of your most despised NPC's, and why? :keeponsmiling: Cheers

Shank from Nuka-World. After you take over your first settlement for a raider gang, he keeps having an excuse why you can't take over another one. "The first one needs tribute, now it needs supplies, now it needs to be happier, etc." He's worse than Preston G. :P

Ok, so I've got that to look forward to ... Thx. I haven't visited Nuka-World yet. Still plodding through various FO4 quests & kind of got side-tracked by a Detective Nick quest in Far Harbor - not a big fan of the low visibility fog. Doesn't suit my stealth & snipe play. Forget night vision, I want an IR scope

No IR without mods..

But..

Berry Mentats are useful for Foggy Far Harbor.

In Fact Berry Mentats are useful full stop.

Thx for the tip - I found the Berry Mentats the other day but didn't know what they did yet - will give that a go for sure :ontoagoodthing: Cheers

The effects of Berry Mentats stack with other alcohol and drugs such as day tripper also.

You should listen to Uncle Ken when he's complaining about the other settlers. LOL

not that it matters but I use berry mentats for the +5 INT, which increases XP which is useful when crafting with a massive amount of materials to level up quickly.

(sleep for a bit for well rested bonus XP, and combine with other INT and XP boosting gear and consumables)

If I wanted to see living targets I'd just enter VATS.

@ Solomon - So, I convinced Uncle Ken to leave & come back to the Last Plank & blah blah all he does is complain. I turn the Nat'l Park Visitor Center into a settlement & Uncle Ken is back - whining. When I return to the Last Plank - he apparently follows me back & more of same

@ red255 - Thx for this GR8 tip - I'll do that before building up the next settlement - that'll help my XP a lot using the berry mentats like that. Will have to track down more of them to save up, or try to buy some. Have a ton of caps from stripping Raiders / Trappers & selling it all to merchants.

The first time I went to Far Harbor, I convinced Uncle Ken to move to the Docks like you did.
I never did know about him "following you".
But later on I had second thoughts and although I couldn't change what I already did there, I made a different call on the next play-through and I'm glad I did.
In case you haven't done this yet.
If you let him stay at his home, his nephew will be "relieved" and send some settlers to the Visitor Center to "keep him company" and you'll still get a settlement out of it. He won't stop complaining, but I guess he's got his personal reasons and I find that funny.

Thx, Will definitely remember this on the next playthrough.
(I'm a frugal gamer, and just picked up FO4 + DLC / Pass on sale this year, and this is my 1st time thru it all. I kinda regret not splurging & buying it sooner - but, oh well - I'm here now :yazdwink:)

Marcy: what makes you think I want to talk to you? Leave me alone!!1!

Really? What don't you like about her?

Now the truth... I build Sanctuary Hills up until it's great - One house is strictly a gym. And what does Marcy do? B*tch & complain the whole time! (Now I'm not endorsing hitting a woman, but I lost it & melee hit her with the butt of my rifle & blood splattered all over the furniture, and you know what? She shut up for at least a little while. I also got the "Time Out" achievement for slapping her into the Pillory on another occasion. That was fun, but didn't last long enough TBH).

I believe she used to be essential but they patched her and Jun so we can dispose of them, good guy Bethesda!

I think if I wanted to see Macy offed, I'd enjoy putting her into an arena with a death claw.
