How to force quests forward?
I can't complete the quest "The Way Life Should Be" because my game gets super broken when I enter the the Vim! facility everything goes very bad.

First, try reloading a save from before going into the facility. There is a console command to force things forward, but they create even more problems more often than not.

The console command is

setstage <QuestID> <Quest Stage Number>

Find your quest on the Fallout wikipedia, you can find the quest ID there along with the numbers associated with each stage.

I have to really suggest you to try everything you can before attempting to use the console. Sometimes it'll actually mess up the entire questline afterwards, which is even worse than your current bug. Make sure you make a hard save before using it, just in case you do use it and run into these issues.

My suggestion is to learn how to go to the wiki and understand what the quest stages are and force your way only to the next stage. Skipping stages is what causes issue.

Since there is the multiple choices for the quest I would strongly advice not to console command your way through.

You should also give a clearer definition of your issue with the Vim factory because your issue might not even be quest related.

Ok, before I do that, I'll explain to you what is going on. So basically anywhere else in the world I can save. In the commenwealth, any other location in Far Harbor, but not in the Vim! factory. And I can't go forward with the quest because when I go into the elevator to go to DiMA's medical place, the game freezes every time. I again think it's possible that this is coming from the mod where I skipped his puzzles but I've used the mod in the past without any problems.

Sounds like you have a corrupted area. I would do a verify local file integrity before trying again.

If that's the case, then the console commands might not be enough.

Now when you say freeze, do you actually mean freeze, or is it a crash? Have you already tried going through to that area with the mod in question disabled?
