Found Jacob Orden dead before I found Covenant...

So I found him dead out in the middle of nowhere, killed either by supermutants or gunners, or maybe it was a competition to see who got to experience the joy of killing him. Either way, he got caught in the crossfire, and I haven't been to Covenant yet this playthrough, so what now? Can I not do the Covenant questline?

According to the quest's page in the wikia, there's only 1 optionnal stage that involved Jacob, which is to accept his bribe. Apart from that, there may be a few missing dialogue lines, but the quest may still be doable, accessing his terminal should be enough. Gotta test

It may be possible if you side with Honest Dan.

They only forced interaction with Jacob is when he confronts you leaving Covenant. Which if someone fast traveled out would have skipped it.

If you started Automatron there is sentry bots that can spawn nearby that will wipe Covenant out. It is kinda funny to watch.

i fixed it:

approach Covenant from distance, save the game (console "save #" if survival), then use console "tcl", fly running over coventant and kill the bot.

To hit enemies you may have to disable tcl.

Or just use console comands to kill the bot, i was lev 26 and was easy with my weapons.

Last advise, if there is nobody at the door, just sit on the chair and wait 1 hour.
