Powering Houses?
Ok so i installed a mod recently which lets u add tons more craftable stuff in settlements. Yet it says i need power for the house lights and everything else.

Im kinda new to this so what exactly am i meant to do? i know u can make generators but the cables dont seem to attach to the lights inside or anything. Did i miss something? am i meant to put some type of item outside and connect it inside or something?

There just needs to be power in a radius around the light. If it says "requires 1" or more, then it requires actual wiring.

Open building, go to power tab and then "switches". There will be several conduits, for example, so bring a power cable onto one of those (stick a conduit on the wall of the house for example), now all the lights in a radius of that conduit will light up. You can see the radius for yourself because once you move too far, they turn off again.

Just have conduits not far from where you want the power, thats the basics.

Also, some prebuilt house mods have a small power connector on the house that needs to be connected.

There is a mod on Nexus called ''Power Everywhere-Cheap Pylon'' . Once installed. it will send the power for lights across the whole settlement . There's also a mod (quite a few actually ) on nexus which make generators with enough power for the entire settlements. Also the mod ''longer power lines'' which allows you to seriously stretch power lines. Once you find out how many settlement building mods are there it can get rather addictive .

Sim Settlements is what I recommend, it makes it so much easier.
