how do i make a minigun work late game?

as the title says, the minigun frankly is significantly more badass than the gatling laser. i just wanna know how i can make mine work late game besides basher shredder which absolutely freaking anihilates my frames to less than 1fps

Damage multipliers stack by multiplying each other, and for ballistics this will also act to overcome DR. So the simplest method of making a low damage weapons viable later is to mass those multipliers. I just used this with my level 110 survival test character,

I have a minigun only character which taught me that while the DAM is awful, most of the DPS is lost to the spread, even if you tap to fire. VATS offers a good way to get around this.

Yeah VATS plus Minigun is insane. You can headshot a dozen people or whatever the VATS stack limit is. I used this when Sanctuary was hit by about 50 Gunners from 3 directions. Beastly.

I think the number of attacks you can stack in VATS - AP permitting - is 16 actually?
