Better Living Undergroud Control Board glitch
Hello fellow gamers, i'm currently on the Better Living Underground mission. I am getting the mission prompt to find the control board, but when I go into the reactor room, the ghoul that is supposed to spawn there does not spawn so I can't get the control board to start the mission. I will take any way to fix this, if I can spawn in the control board, or spawn in the ghoul then I'll take it.

I would reload a save before entering Vault 88 and try again and if it happens again, try to verify integrity of game cache for the game, something may be corrupted or missing in your game install

If the NPC doesn't spawn, use this to try and give yourself the control board

I think it depends on what it sees as scrap (for example other mods that make more items scrapable) but the command does scrap things it should not in certain circumstances.

I once used it at red rocket and it scrapped some of my power lines in sanctuary.

As far as quests go do a search "vault 88 scrapall" and see how many times someone crapped the quest items needed.

The second thing is, the lights WAY up at the top get scrapped. Then if I remember right you can also end up scrapping parts of the water pump.

Well, I aint going to guess whether they are using a scrapping mod or not. Nor am I going to try to figure out what was added/removed/modified to each scrapping mod's library. Vault 88 is just one of them unfriendly settlements when it comes to scrapall.

Far more easier to give the correct console commands to repair the current quest.

Scrapall has a HUGE range. To give you an idea, for Taffington Boathouse you can scrapall and add items to the workshop that were loose loot around the super mutant area across the water. It was a common thing for Sim Settlement users getting the ASAM's and holotape.

So if you want to use scrapall in both Red Rocket and Sanctuary claimed them both and strip them both THEN build. The same applies to Abernathy Farm, using scrapall there can scrap parts of Sanctuary and half of Red Rocket.

For those using Place Everywhere, NEVER use scrapall with extra objects enabled, it results in an immediate crash because it scraps the workbench.

haven't noticed anything much with scrapall, only the workshops say activate instead of build but they work perfectly though

Several others have had issues it may be other mods expanding things or just the luck of the draw as it were in either case using the correct commands as Bored Peon said to fix the issue is a far better solution.

Dont get me wrong, I love my scrapall command. I have done at least 40-50 starts and I just can not manually scrap Sanctuary any longer, lol. Also one of the reasons I play without Scrapping mods, because using scrapall over scraps.

It just has a time and place to use and some situations it should not be used. Settlements that are too close and settlements with quest objects are the biggest two you are better off not using it.

Like I said using it with Place Everywhere and forgeting the extra objects is enabled and crashing the game, I have done that almost a dozen times.

DLC takes up mod slots 1-6, you need to figure out which slot Vault 88 is using.
That is identified by the first two digits in the Id you searched for above.

In other words I cannot tell you to use 06004825 for an ID, because that only works if Vault 88 DLC is in slot 6. If it is in slot 1 then it would be 01004835,
