But most enemies texture mods i've seen make them more real and creepy...
Giant insects and any weird looking mutated creatures that aren't humanoid. For example, the hermit crab from this game, the final boss of Borderlands (the first game), those weird Shuggurath things from The Pre Sequel, and so on. That Shuggurath, for example, I just can't look at that for a single second. I don't mind endlessly brutal games like DOOM (2016) at all, although I was afraid I would have a problem with the hell levels, but I'm fine with that too. All demons in DOOM look "normal". I really don't know how to explain, but they just look normal. The best thing is that I'm fine with all similar animals and insects in real life. I have no problem seeing spiders (like tarantulas), scorpions, snakes, roaches (saw one in my bathroom a few days ago and carried it outside, but radroaches in Fallout 4 that jump in my face almost gave me a heart attack), crabs and whatever else there is.
Oh, and the mirelurk queen.
I remember seeing a bloodfly (the one that looks like a mosquito) flying in some town on my way to Diamond City, and there's even a special death animation in which it's all over the screen. It looks exactly like dying from a facehugger in Alien: Isolation. Terrifying.
Yeah I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight now lmao
My bad, it's called a bloodbug. The other one is a bloatfly. If you dare, this (YouTube link, at 2:00) is what it looks like.
Scariest scripted moment is the Deathclaw in the Museum.
Jump in a suit of power armour and you'll be fine.
It's not even that bad in the video, but if you're casually walking in the game in full screen and that happens to you... Well... you should know how that ends up.
