If that fails, or its not there....go to the door that goes underground....look at the door, hit the ` key, click the door and it should bring up a code (e.g (00blahblahblah)), and simply type unlock. The door should be unlocked and you wont need the key.
Love this settlement, however when i build outside, every once in a while a settler from Sanctuary will come over and use a slot machine.
Thanks much I'll try that! I saw a video that showed a corpse at the "tree" campsite, where the key is supposed to be, but did not see it there and I've looked all over that site looking for it.
Yes, it's nice. If I can get into it, I might move there instead of hanging out at Home Plate, or the other nice little town that killed Synths, except unfortunately I had to kill them all. I have not gotten to that point in this play through.
One thing I think is nice about Fallout 4 at this point, most of the mods should remain stable even if they are abandoned?
I've tried this and it does not remove the requirement to have a key. In the console I get a message unlocked, but the "need a key" message remains, and the door refuses to open. I am familiar with this process (item identification) for duplicating permanent items in the game, like moving a fancy bad to my apartment. Any other ideas about what I might be doing wrong with that unlock command?
Anyway I've fixed this mod by uninstalling it, starting then quitting the game, then reinstalling the mod and starting the game. This time there is a body there instead of just a little red smudge with the required key on him. :)
Things seem to be working now for me.
