Quest id
I have finished the quest to clear out the ghouls at Suffolk county charter school for Somerville place (again). As everyone knows, you only have to kill the chief ghoul to complete the quest. The quest did not complete even though the place is 'cleared'.

I even did 'killall' and murdered a poor innocent robot.

I know how to set stage but I am not sure how to retrieve the quest id. I have the quest 'form' id from the wiki's, but I am not sure that is right and don't want to muck up my game more.

Could someone tell me how to retrieve this?

If I knew I had to be a computer whiz to play a game, I would have gotten the programming degree instead of an accounting degree decades ago.

Thanks ahead of time.

When you're on the wiki page for whatever particular quest you're on, it's the "Form ID" bit that is the quest ID (not the "editor id").
So when you open the console, type (obviously without the < > bits):

SetStage <QuestID> <Quest stage number>

So for example, if i wanted to set the stage for the "Out of Time" quest to complete, it would be:
SetStage 0001cc2a 65 (as per the wiki page here https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Out_of_Time)

You said you have the right wiki page for your quest, so hope this helps.

Thank you. 1 last question, what is the number for finished or cleared?

You will find that on the table further down the page that says "Quest stages".. Look for the number at the final stage. It changes from quest to quest. Eg for the example quest I just posted (Out of Time), the number is 65

Oh and PS.. do a HARD save before you start fiddling with setting quest stages, just to be on the safe side. lol

The reason for that is there is hidden effects on those stages that can screw you later if you skipped over a stage,

For example, if you skip the stage that is supposed to set the stage for an upcoming stage then the NPCs will have "broken scripts."

Also at any point before completing a quest you can reset the entire quest. However once the quest is completed you can not repeat it (excluding radiants.)
