I am stuck
So, in the Nuka-World DLC i am stuck on a mission, A Magical Kingdom. The mission where you have to search: the tunnels, the fun house and the theater, i got the tunnels and the theater but i have walked through the entire fun house but just don't get it. I can even stand on the marker but nothing is happening.
Oswald is also there but i can just fight him when i get close enough. I can't kill him though since he just gets downed and after a bit he gets back up again.

I don't know why this is happening, does anyone else had this before? And if you did what did you do to fix it. Please help

FIX:
Okay just to clear things up, I fixed it but with some trouble. I loaded a save 2 hours before i went in the fun house, just had to do some quests over but when i went through the fun house again it worked.
Thanks for the help.

If I may, where are you fighting him? In the Tower? In the Theatre?

I ask because you actually have to fight him more than once...

Also, I like to call him "Oswald The Enraging", because he can be insanely hard to kill - it took me a long time you have to 'down' him many times and he can resurrect his friends and heal himself to full over and over, if allowed to . An easier way is to find Rachel's Tape in Haliburton but there are a few different things you can say to him that may help.

He does have a tendency to upset many, many people though...due to his being so difficult to kill:

If it seems 'bugged', try Loading an earlier Save, perhaps.

GL with it

I am not fighting him yet, i only fought him once at the theater but when i downed him he said something like "i wont go down this easily" and he teleported away. I am now in the fun house, went through it and i just cant get the "Search the Fun House" to work for the misson: A Magical Kingdom.

Oh I see - you have to go all the way through all three areas first (the Tunnels, the Theatre and the Funhouse)...

Since you did the Fun House and the Theatre (where you fought him once), then explore the Employee Tunnels where you might see him again... - then, after going through all 3, you actually fight him in the tower.. of King Cola's Castle - there is an elevator that takes you up there in behind the theatre .

Be sure to explore everywhere at the end of these places, as there are Recipes, things to Turn Off, and more...

GL!

In the Funhouse there is a control room, try getting there. He should (if he hasn't already do his catchphrase and disappeer.) Try opening all the doors, etc. Quest Triggers are placed on some specific points. Worst case, reload a save from before you went in. If you play on survival, get a mod that allows you to save whenever. Because bugs can happen ANYTIME and this is about your enjoyment. Not what other people think.

The end of the Funhouse glitched - had the conversation and he vanished, but the quest marker just sat there.

WORKAROUND / FIX for Funhouse glitch with console command:
Open your most recent save, closest to the Funhouse. Walk in, open console with ~ and type tcl to disable clipping.

Walk through the chained door and then turn tcl back on with console command. Open the chained door, continue the ending of it.

It's not really cheating since you already finished all this stuff :(

After the fight, he disappears and reappears on the upper floor (same area). You must go up there. Here, he offers dialog options ... Saying more will result in spoiler.

I know this is 2 years after the last comment, but if you're on PC and one of the 3 objectives bug (For me it was in the funhouse), open the console and enter:
setstage 0603684f 700
This set the objective to the next stage, did not complete the funhouse objective, but I was able to complete the quest without issues afterwards.

Thanks man! I actually tried reloading a save first, but it seems the bug will happen every time if the save is from earlier in the funhouse. This is much nicer than going super far back

This quest will glitch, if the three locations are not visited in this exact order:
  1. Employee tunnels
  2. Fun House
  3. Theater
In any other order, you will either get that stuck marker at the Fun House, or the elevator at the very end not working.

For PC with console:
I got stuck in the theater, Oswald disappeared after a short battle, the doors are locked, the elevator is not functional and a marker on the ground in front of the stage.
I used the hint from A ninja above (setstage 0603684f 700), but nothing happens. Then I used "tlc" (togglecollision) in console and walked into the elevator were Oswald stands for comfort... killed him and the quest goes on.. hurray!
Now I'm on the way to Bradberton to get the holotape of Rachel before the last battle with Oswald.
Hope that helps s.o.

tcl is the command (not tlc), and you really do not want to skip things by using it because it may screw your game up irrevocably from that point if you trigger something out of order.

Also this thread is ridiculously old, so expect it to be shut soon.
