That's exactly the point. Did you not notice all the ironic songs in Fallout 3 and 4?
That sounds pretty cool just we on bethesda time for waiting for fo5
Ruined? I also love it, but how would that ruin it? I would really love to see these great songs appear in the game, especially to describe the wasteland in such an ironic way.
One Tin Soldier (The Legend of Billy Jack)--Coven
It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)--REM, which is already an ironic song
The End of the World--Skeeter Davis or Johnny Mathis, either is good
Or, my personal choice:
Heaven Is a Place On Earth--Belinda Carlisle, because it's such a typical peppy 80s song, and for no other reason than the line "In this world we're just beginning to understand the miracle of living" and then BOOOOOM, Fallout 5.
I agree, they're all great songs. However, The End of the World is already in Fallout 4, but it would still be amazing to see it. As about the 80s songs, I think that they should be only in the pre-war scenes because in my opinion, they wouldn't fit so well considering they don't sound like typical 50s songs, although the lyrics fit very well. I know that What a Wonderful World is from 1967, but it sounds just like the 50s songs from Fallout 3 and 4, so it shouldn't be a problem at all.
Oh, I wouldn't want the original version of "Heaven Is a Place On Earth", since it does sound too modern as originally released. However, like "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys that was redone as a barbershop quartet song in Bioshock Infinite, I could see a retro-sounding jazzy remake that sounded more fitting for the time period.
Anachronisms are allowed if they sound cool. :D
